How to swap items and purchase extras to Customize Your Box
Prior to your delivery, you’ll have the option to swap out items if you want! Before your scheduled delivery you will receive an email telling you what items are in your farm share for the week, what items might be available for swapping and also what items may be available for adding on as extras.
To swap items in your farm share for the week, you can
- Click the “Swap Items” button in the “It’s Time to Customize Your Share” email.
- Or login directly to your Harvie account and you'll see your current delivery and can click "Swap Share Contents"
Once on the swap page, you'll see all of the items in your share listed on the page. There will be an image of the item and below each item there will be the option to:
Add more product
Remove some or all of a product
Once the swap icon is clicked, a window will pop up to update the preference of that particular product
If a swap charge would occur, a window will pop up confirming you want to proceed with the additional charge.
How swap charges work
Each box has a target value and all the items available have values assigned to them. If you swap out a low value item for a higher value item, it is possible that your overall box value will exceed the original target value. The review share details section will show any changes you made and will display any additional costs associated with these changes. If you don't want to pay the additional cost, you'll want to reverse the change. Otherwise any swap costs will be charged against your credit card on file.

To purchase extras to customize your farm
You can add extra items to your share if you'd like to purchase additional products. The cost of these additional items will be charged to your card on file (if you do not have a credit card on file, it will not let you purchase extras).
What are extras?
Extras are additional a la carte items you can add to your farm share when you customize your delivery.
When do I get charged?
Extras will be charged to your card at the time of delivery finalization. If you’re on the payment plan, the extras amount will be added to your normal delivery charge. If you’ve paid in full, the extras charge will be a separate charge at the time of delivery.
What if I have credits to use for extras?
If you have credits to redeem for extras, there are no additional steps required to use your credit. It will be automatically applied to any purchases of extras or higher value swaps in your deliveries. It will always be used before any charge to your card on file for these things.
How does it work?
When you receive your customization email, click on the "Swap Items" button.
This will bring you to the "Delivery Details" section of your member profile area. Click "Customize Share".
Scroll down to the "Purchase Extras" section
To add extras, click the plus icon
What do I do if I've added the wrong number of extras or I change my mind?
If during the customization window, you'd like to remove an extra item, simply return to the item and click the remove icon. This will adjust your price which you can review in your summary.
A few notes:
- You can add any number of extras, up to the inventory entered by your farmer.
- Extras save as you add them to your account. If you exit the page, the extras you have ordered will be applied to your delivery.
- You can view your extra charges in the Review Share Details area
