How to Swap Items to Customize Your Box
Prior to your delivery, you’ll have the option to swap out items if you want! Before your scheduled delivery you will receive an email telling you what items are in your farmshare for the week, what items might be available for swapping and also what items may be available for adding on as extras.
To customize your farmshare for the week, you can:
- Click the link in the “Swap Items” button in the “It’s Time to Customize Your Share” email.
- Or login directly to your Harvie account and you'll see your current delivery and can click "Swap Share Contents"
Once on the swap page, you'll see all of the items in your share listed on the page. There will be an image of the item and next to the image will be a dropdown menu that should default to “Keep in Share”. If you have multiple units of any item in your share, you will see multiple dropdowns, one for each unit of that item in your share (see screenshot below).
To swap out any item, click on the associated dropdown and you'll be shown a list of options for the items that have available inventory. Click on the item that you want to swap for. This should cause the “Swap Summary” window on the left of your screen to update (this will be at the bottom of the page if you are on the phone or tablet) and if there are any charges associated with the swap, the swap summary will let you know (see above screenshot).
As you make changes, the Swap Summary window will keep track of all of the changes. Once you are done making swaps, click the “SAVE” button to save your changes. If you don't save your changes and navigate away from this page, your changes will be lost.
Remember, if you receive extra swap charges on your account here is why:
Each box has a target value and all the items available have values assigned to them. If you swap out a low value item for a higher value item, it is possible that your overall box value will exceed the original target value. The swap summary will show any changes you made and will display any additional costs associated with these changes. If you don't want to pay the additional cost, you'll want to reverse the change. Otherwise any extra costs will be charged against your credit card on file.

After saving your swaps, Harvie will redirect you to the “Purchase Extras” page. On this page, you can choose to add extra items to your share. The cost of these additional items will be charged to your card on file (if you do not have a credit card on file, it will not let you purchase extras).
