To see your member’s profile as they see it, simply Impersonate the member. Find their name in the Members table in your left-hand navigation, and click Impersonate.
Important: be careful when impersonating any members as any changes you make while impersonating the member are live. Be sure to logout of the impersonation when done.
Why would I want to impersonate a member?
One main reason to impersonate a member is so you can help provide better customer service to your members. If a member calls you up and says “When I log in, I see X on the screen”, being able to impersonate that member allows you to walk through the same steps as them and to see what they are seeing. Aside from small formatting differences caused by different browsers, you should be seeing the exact same thing as your member.
You also will need to impersonate your member if you need to put skip, reschedule, or put a member's share on hold. These options are not available directly through the farmer admin area. For more information on holds and rescheduling, see this help file.
You will need to impersonate a member if you are helping them re-signup for a new season or to add additional shares to an existing season. Once logged in as them, you'll see a “Signup” link under the YOUR FARM section of your profile. This will take you to the signup page as the member.
You will need to impersonate a member if you are helping the member update their credit card information. For more information on updating payment information, see this help file.
You may want to impersonate a member to view specifically what items a member has added as a “purchased extra” item on a share. By impersonating a member and going to the “My Shares” page, you can get the clearest breakout for shares of what items were in their main share versus added as purchased extras.
- You will need to impersonate the member to edit their share. The buttons to edit a member's share, either from the delivery's Preview Shares page or the member's Shares tab, will automatically impersonate the member and take you to the correct page.
